Leading for Community Impact Facilitator

Danielle joined the Leading from Within team as the Leading for Community Impact Co-Facilitator in 2018 after serving as a guest presenter for the program in 2017. Prior to this, she participated in the Katherine Harvey Fellows program (Class 8 in 2015-2016).

Native to Santa Maria, California. Danielle has always been drawn to her value of service and growth to her community. She attended UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) as a first-generation college student and attained her bachelor’s degree in Chicana/o Studies, Education & Applied Psychology. She later attended San Diego State University and received her master’s in Education with a concentration in Post-secondary Educational Leadership.

Danielle leads with values of growth, service, and vulnerability. Her passion for guiding others as they build community and move through their life journey has magnified. Toward the end of 2023, she transitioned out of her role as Director for Student Engagement & Leadership with a decade of service at UC Santa Barbara. Currently, she serves as the Division Chief leading the Staff Development Division at the County of Santa Barbara, where she oversees the training and retention of social sector employees by creating opportunities for engagement, leadership, learning, and development.
