The Marketing and Development Coordinator works with the Executive Director to execute the communications and fundraising goals of the organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the essence of our brand and be adept at communicating to a wide variety of audiences via written word and platforms such as our website, social media, and print. They will be highly efficient in managing our fundraising database, annual fundraising mailings, and organizing and implementing special events. Two key strengths we seek are exceptional written skills and attention to detail.
Job Duties:
Development:
1. Lead project coordinator for annual giving campaigns (Leaders Fund and Alumni) to ensure team
executes all steps in timely manner
2. Ensures timely donor acknowledgement and works with Operations Manager to ensure accurate
recording of gifts
3. Manages alumni thank you program for donors
4. Manages donor and prospect mailings
5. Maintains donor database to include basic donor information and donor records
6. Develops and maintains systems to track donor and prospect activity and touch points in conjunction
with Executive Director and Development Consultant
7. Identifies best practices and efficiencies with development related systems and processes
Marketing:
1. Manages the Alumni and Donor storytelling database
2. Helps identify potential stories that embody our desired outcomes
3. Interview and write stories of alumni leadership journey and impact
4. Manages and coordinates creation of collateral to support organization, campaigns, and stewardship of
donors including print, e-media, and video
5. Maintains basic website updates and has significant involvement in upcoming website refresh
6. Manages communication content and develops systems to ensure we maximize use of collateral
content across platforms
7. Looks for opportunities to improve communication to donors and prospects such as through thank you
letter content, videos and website
8. Works with Communications Contractor to review and make design edits for monthly newsletter
9. Works with the graphic designer to provide edits and ensure changes are accurately reflected
10. Ensures LFW brand integrity for all public printed and electronic materials
11. Provides mature and caring interpersonal communication with participants, prospects, contractors and
friends of our organization and programs
12. Provides event hospitality and logistical support in conjunction with other LFW staff
Qualifications:
● Interest in the development process
● Basic photography and design skills desirable
● Bachelor’s degree
● Minimum of three years experience of relevant work experience
● Proficiency of word processing and spreadsheet programs required
● Knowledge of G-suite, Salesforce, WordPress and project management programs desirable
Job Status:
Salary
Full-time | 40 hours/week
Compensation:
$41,600 per year payable twice monthly
Subject to deductions for taxes and other withholdings as required by law
