The Marketing and Development Coordinator works with the Executive Director to execute the communications and fundraising goals of the organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the essence of our brand and be adept at communicating to a wide variety of audiences via written word and platforms such as our website, social media, and print. They will be highly efficient in managing our fundraising database, annual fundraising mailings, and organizing and implementing special events. Two key strengths we seek are exceptional written skills and attention to detail.

Job duties may focus on the following and be adjusted based on applicant’s strengths and the need of the organization:

1. Support for small to mid-sized events, meetings, and program sessions including administrative,

logistical, and hospitality support before, during, and after events

2. Administrative functions to support the overall organization such as assistance with mailings, database

maintenance, website maintenance and other organizational support

3. Provide mature and caring interpersonal communication with participants, prospects, contractors and

friends of our organization and programs

Qualifications:

● Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

● Ability to work with minimal supervision, with excellent follow through as a reliable, flexible team

player

● Interest in the social sector

● Strong computing skills including (at a minimum) fluency in Word, Excel, and Google Docs/Drive,

including mail merge. Basic knowledge of Salesforce desirable

Job Status:

Hourly

Full-time | 40 hours/week

Occasional evening support needed

Reports to Operations Manager

Compensation:

$17/hour

Location & Timeline:

Downtown Santa Barbara office

Position starts fall of 2018
